Lucy came to our ranch as a beautiful riding horse, but after discovering she was navicular, her riding days came to an early end. She stayed with us on the ranch, however, where she happily assumed a new role—our very beautiful “pasture ornament.” This portrait captures Lucy in all her fiery color and quiet presence.
